Our salon is a sanctuary for self-care and transformation. At Kaikora, we don’t want you to be confused by our pricing or concerned about how much things are going to cost at the end of your appointment, so we have crafted a list of hair service packages which are all inclusive, this way you know exactly what to expect upfront and can sit back and relax with a cup of tea, coffee or glass of bubbles.
Beyond our commitment to exceptional service, Kaikora is dedicated to sustainability and ethical practices. We strive to minimise our environmental footprint and that’s why we use all our own hair care products in our salon. Kaikora hair care products are Australian made, vegan, contain no MOQ’s, they are made from organic and naturally derived ingredients and are animal cruelty free. These are also available for purchase in our salon to keep your hair in premium condition.

About Us
Kaikora Australia was inspired by the love for hairdressing that Sam still brings to work 20 years on! It’s a place filled with laughter, honest chats, and the kind of trust that only happens between a stylist and their client. Sam’s passion for real hair education and healthier hair habits inspired her to create something of her own, and the name Kaikora carries a piece of her story too. Borrowed from her grandfather’s fishing boat, it’s a nod to humble beginnings, family roots, and building something meaningful from the ground up.
From that foundation came the Kaikora hair care range, a collection crafted with purpose, passion, and a whole lot of salon expertise. What started as formulas designed for extension-friendly care quickly expanded into a full suite of products for all hair types. Every bottle is made right here in Australia, packed with organic, gentle ingredients and free from the harsh chemicals that weigh hair down. Strong, healthy, beautiful hair shouldn’t be complicated, and Kaikora makes it simple.
But the magic of Kaikora doesn’t stop at the products, it lives inside the salon. Our incredible team brings the energy, the talent, and the warmth that clients feel the moment they walk through the door. Our salon is located at 232/140 Anketell Street in Greenway.
There is plenty of parking across Ankatell street in Park and Ride Tuggeranong.
- If you are having semi or permanent colour you should wash your hair 48 hours ahead of your scheduled appointment.
- For blondes, 72 hours ahead, as this ensures a clean lift in a timely manner.
- For colour lightening services, please allow a minimum of 2-3 hrs for your appointment.
- For other colour services (permanent, demi, gloss) allow 2.5 hrs.
- All other services will take around 45min–1hr.
NOTE: If you come to your appointment without washing your hair in this time frame, coverage and vibrancy of the colour can be affected.
At Kaikora, we offer an extensive list of complementary beverages to choose from, including

- alcoholic & non-alcoholic options available
We offer free wifi for all our clients to jump on, so feel free to bring along your laptop if you need to do some work while your colour is processing.
